Holbrook House website
Holbrook House is a Georgian country house and hotel in Somerset. We were approached to create a site that would best reflect the stunning surroundings and acres of unspoiled woodland.
Our solution was a Flash website that would give much focus to vivid background images, giving visitors a sense of the atmosphere while browsing the information.
The vertical navigation accommodates a large number of menu and sub menu items.
The main part of the site adjusts its width according to the content.
The movement between pages is deliberately slow and calm so as to suggest a sense of relaxation and ease.
The way in which the site is built also means that it adjusts to different sizes and shapes of screens.
We headed down to Somerset for an extremely long day photographing the house. Eventually whittling the 900 images down to 30 for use on the site.
Timetables and other booking information can be viewed seemlessly, without downloading.
